Interview at PakSpectator

The Pakistani Spectator interviewed me last week, you can find the interview here [link]. Though I repeatedly denied being a blogger of the interviewable sort, they wouldn’t listen. Thanks for interviewing me TPS and Ghazala, you made me actually think about things – my brain can use whatever exercise it can get.

The word ‘spectator’ reminds me, I am spectacularly spectacled again. I kept hoping the headaches and blurred vision was somehow Microsoft’s fault (the Visual Studio default font does suck, and the Microsoft Reader font isn’t much better either, ClearType and all) but the ‘bug’ was at my end. I and got myself a new pair of eyeglasses today. Unlike Seth Godin, I just went out and bought the first frame that looked half-decent to me.

I Built the Empire State Building

There this Indonesian Lotte Puzzle gum sold for Rs.10 (18 cents) these days which comes with two gum sticks and a cardboard/plastic model/puzzle pieces that my son really likes. Last week we got the Taj Mahal, this week it was the Empire State Building. There are no instructions (uh its a puzzle), so I saved some time by (secretly) cheating and made this:

I didn’t get my gum share though :-/

The beginning of the end

I turned 30 on the 8th of April. For many people on this planet, this marks the end of half of their life. My son turned 4 two days later, so his life has just begun.

(Re)Starting this blog was on my list of things to do before my 30th birthday, and it looks like I barely made it with the first post. I will be blogging about a lot of things but I am too lazy to set up multiple blogs, so if something doesn’t interest you, you can always move on to the next post. Do subscribe to the RSS feeds though, its fun to watch the google analytics map :=)
